There was always some criticism of bloggers initially for speaking without access on sports and the culture, so eventually, some bloggers became more assertive and staked out a place in the media, started getting access and building their reputation. It's not something I aspired to, and have never attained, which is fine for me, especially as there was a time that people had assumed I had access, and there was an extra layer of oversight and ultimately criticism that I just don't need in my life. As social media has expanded, so too has the marketing and social media teams of clubs. Instead of fans talking about their team and reflecting the positives and achievements as bloggers, there are now team employees, with direct access to the teams presenting some of the non-news content from teams. They cut out the middle man, and now these employees have ACCESS. It's with that lens of privelege and dedication that we can find out htat so many Vancouver Canucks really like homestands, because the best part of being at home is being at home. Wow.

I'm glad we get to see this information, the players that will be on the ice for maybe a minute and a half at the start of the game. It lets you know know what jersey to wear. This lineup is something special, though. Cam, Sam, two Travises, Sean and Tyson. I think that is the group that rushed Sigma Nu in 2006

How can this be a happy Saturday hen that isn't even Connor Bedard? That's actually Lukas Reichel, the German winger who is -8 with only 1 point in 12 games this year. Thanks for reminding Chicago fans of that. Oh, and way to make me feel incredibly old. He was born in 2002, but is somehow 21 years old. He's also older than three of his teammates. So thanks for the note, Chicago. I feel like shit now.

Are we just skating by with Tweets of the Moment, particularly when I am not actively on Twitter anymore? Absolutely yes. That said, I wanted to post for posterity, that the Toronto Maple Leafs, at least for one night, didn't fall flat on their face when a golden opportunity presented itself, and the Dallas Stars even admitted it.

DON'T WORRY PEOPLE! Even if you don't want to pay the dollar for the site, you are still going to be able to read updates like this one. Does it happen often that you follow a team's socials, it is the the third week of the season, getting to the third period of the game, and you are just now getting the information on who is broadcasting the game?  Before we go anywhere, I want to make sure we pay tribute to the man who inspired the original iteration of this site.  Barry Melrose announced his retirement as the season began, owing to a Parkinson's Disease diagnosis. We wish Barry and those who know and love him well during this tough moment, and thank him for the memories, the inspiration, and all the mullet jokes.
